Another little bit of auto trivia... the cylinder head was made by Yamaha. Yamaha made heads for Toyota until very recently, especially the multivalve heads. They may still do some for them.
And Carroll Shelby also reworked some of the cars for Toyota...
I worked for Toyota Motor Sales USA for 13 years (1978-1991), so I did get a chance to see and learn quite a bit about them.
They are worth a fortune now.
