  Once I'm happy the amplifiers are out of the way I look at the room and speakers.
  
  I'm not the tiniest bit interested in trying to make multiple mono recordings - PPMCMMMixDowns- where 'fidelity' is meaningless - sound better.
  
  I have instead found that the closer I get to being happy with real stereo in this difficult room, the better all the music sounds.
  
  For me, most 'philes are 'lost in audio' because they are in a tail chase I've never bothered to join.
