If you don't have the real estate for oilers or film caps I would go with panasonic TSHA or TSHB, which are probably every bit as good as the cerafines.

I built the Bugle 45 circuit into a pair of monoblocks and used 120uF panasonic TSHA caps. Although I never tried the cerifines, the amp sounds great with these. I first used UF1007 diodes for the rectifier and then switched to damper diodes. It sounded great either way. I think this is just an excellent circuit Gordon designed.
Good luck with the build,
Dan
Hi, thanks for the info on the Panasonic TH-SA and TS-HB caps, I had not seen those before. I had been looking only at 500V rated caps, I am not sure if 450V would be enough (the power transformer is 720vct). The TH-SA are rated 400V and TS-HB caps at 450V, is that (450V rated caps) enough for the Bugle circuit, when the B+ is 330V?
The THSA should be OK for 330VDC. If you are worried about it, and want a higher safety margine, the TSHB should sound good too. Check out Poinz's web site, that's were I picked up on using these. He goes into alot of detail for the power supply of his Musical Machine 6v6 pp amp. Great reading (Thanks Poinz!). Here are some pics of my monoblocks.

Thanks, nice looking mono blocks, I will take your caption to heart and use plenty of space for my chassis size.
