HTML Tag Not AllowedThe text above seems to show up in posts where I've used tag (such as bold or italics) in multiple lines in a single post. Just today, I was able to bold and italicise two previous lines, but further down in the message when I tried to italicise some text, the message above replaced the entire balance of the message, from my 'i' tag to the end.
I haven't been able to figure out how to get around this problem when it occurs, and am forced to use plain text for the balance of the message.
Follow Ups:
I've encountered the same problem. The first time was perhaps a year or so ago. Then everything seemed to work ok. But recently it's reared its ugly head again.
Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. It just seems to pop up where it wants to pop up.

it's obstanance is weird. I especially ador when some HTML tags are recognized while others are inexplicably over written in the same post.I however noticed that the "embed" command was a chronic problem & stopped using it. I assumed it caused server problems so Rod disallowed its use. Of course I worked around it but for Rod's sake I didn't post how.

If you can post a message url where this happened in a paragraph, then I can track it down. It's possible that there is some word of another within the tag or maybe the tag isn't closed. More likely, my replace code sucks. Essentially, it's trying to find and avoid tags like script, alert and others that are either annoying or potentially problematic.

Attached is the post in which this happened today. If you scan to near the bottom of the post, you will see the words *some portion* surrounded by asterisks. I originally attempted to put those words in italics by surrounding it with the 'i' tag.I ran into this another time a few weeks ago. I actually tried numerous ways to get around it (including changing all the text within the tags), carefully checking and doublechecking my syntax the entire time, to no avail.
I think one of the keys to the bug is that it only seems to happen when there are two or more tagged lines above the problematic one.
Thanks - your constant efforts are much appreciated!
