reverse the + and - leads of only "one" speaker and tell us what you find.

Thank you for your input ONEMUG. I switched the banana plugs around on the right speaker only as you suggested. Unfortunately that speaker volume decreased making the left speaker "louder" by comparison. The image did not improve either. Worth a try though.

Good point. A set up like that should image on a dime.

Even if it all looks fine...the speakers or the amps could be wrongly wired as well....best to swap phase on one channel and check if its better or worse.

  I did that, reversing the leads on the right side speaker, and ended up w/lower volume on that speaker but no image improvement.
