Although the vast majority of my relatives is from and still lives in Hawaii, I did have cousins who used to live in Marin County. In the late-70s, they had the four solo albums (on LP, not cassette) from the members of KISS. I was just in second grade then, so my mind is hazy. But I do recall that my cousins liked the Ace Frehley album the best. And of that, they liked "Rip It Out."
Sorry, we don't have any photos from the late-70s. But our families drove from the Bay Area to Reno, for a weekend getaway. I went in my cousins' station wagon. My cousins sang Frehley's "Rip It Out," but as a 6-year-old, I didn't know the words!
I did not pick this back up, until 1987, when heavy metal made a comeback. With his band, Frehley's Comet, Ace still performed "Rip It Out."
