Ah, the foot of San Francisco's Market Street. When we were in high school in the late-80s, some of us took MUNI Metro across town, and ended up in the Financial District. Some of my classmates brought up that, while maybe up to 40% of the school was "Caucasian" or "White," hardly any were strictly from one European country.

That's when my friend Patrick mentioned that, as far as he knew, his family was Irish. So when we saw the video for In Tua Nua's "All I Wanted," Patrick said that the band was from Ireland. He rubbed his chin, "I bet that's an American English translation of Gaelic."

"All I Wanted" was one of those obscure, but beloved, alt-rock tracks, on MTV.
