30 years ago, my very last quarter at UC Santa Cruz, I had a friend and classmate, named Ms. Crevier. She was French-Canadian, but from Los Angeles. She was the one who introduced me to country-pop artist Shania Twain, who was Canadian. At the time, Twain had an eponymous debut album.

It wasn't "the country," but Ms. Crevier wanted to go to the so-called Garden Of Eden, located in Henry Cowell Redwoods state park, one more time. Back then, it was clothing-optional, and hardly anyone went. Ms. Crevier lay a beach towel on the ground, stripped, and donned headphones with her Discman. Lying on her back, she said she liked Twain's "You Lay A Whole Lot Of Love On Me."

Because of the internet and social media, everyone knows about Garden Of Eden. And that puts a damper on it being clothing-optional.

Shania Twain would go on to a successful career. But that means that her debut album, and "You Lay A Whole Lot Of Love On Me," are either unknown, or forgotten.
