WARNING: COMPLEX MATH INVOLVED!
Here are some esoteric formulae to help you grasp what's going on in this thread:
Retail cost of PS Audio unit: $100 (actually $99.95; I've rounded up to avoid confusing you with too many digits. Explanation: "rounding up" is a complex math concept that involves adding five cents to the retail price here to get an even number.)
Estimated cost of building one from scratch: $25 (Explanation: "estimated" as used here means that this number is an estimate.)
Savings by building one instead of buying one: $75. (That's $100 minus $25 - you probably should write that down. Don't forget the equal sign!)
Explanation: someone who builds one himself and tests it to see if it works potentially saves $75 (further explanation: that number is in US dollars, not, say, Vietnamese dong or Thai baht - don't get confused here by exchange rates and the like or you'll never recover) as compared to someone who buys one at retail and then tests it.
Conclusion: Seventy-five U.S. dollars (I've spelled it out for you this time in case you are innumerate; "U.S." is an abbreviation for the United States) can be saved by not buying the unit PS Audio sells.
I hope that is clear enough for you - sorry about the math part, but feel free to ask if you need more of an explanation to understand.
Follow Ups:
You've seen some maunfacturer's device... as in have seen a picture of it or maybe even held one in your hands vs. disassembled one to discover what's in it and how it works... and have studied the manufacturer's marketing claims for it.
Now you plan to go make your own, and if it works (whatever that means) you'll deem that you'll have "reverse engineered" the original.
Is that correct?

Well, that's an improvement on "you're stupid", so I'll humor you. As indicated throughout this thread, a group of us (not just me) are trying to analyze the function of the PS Audio device. Someone has taken one apart, others have made educated guesses about the circuitry involved, and still others have said that the process is a waste of time because the claimed function of the device can be accomplished in other ways. No one has made any attempt to describe the precise circuitry used, nor is that necessary to explore whether the concept is valid.
My point, as stated in the post that started this thread, is to arrive at enough of an understanding of the circuitry to build a functional duplicate. The functional duplicate will be exactly that: a device that performs the same function as described by PS Audio. The question of how I will try to assess whether the functional duplicate works is also perfectly clear and logical: I will test it in ways that have already been described. If the tests show that the device works, people will be free to do anything they want with that information.
You are the only person who has taken issue with the process without contributing anything of their own other than name-calling. if you want to continue calling me or the process stupid, or you want to argue semantics, be my guest. Just don't expect a lot of effort to be spent jousting with you. IOW, if you have something to teach me about electronics, lay it out. Otherwise, why waste my time and yours?
and fail to detect even one that suggests anything even close to reverse engineering has been done on this device, I can't even find a post from you (other than in the last to me) where you discuss someone having taken it apart. There was one where you said something like "if someone comes up with a schematic" which only further suggests you are unaware of what's in it.
The point I've been making all alone is that reverse engineering has a specific meaning and that meaning goes well beyond speculating about what might be the composition and behavior of a device, rather actual investigation (most typically by dissasembly) is called for; look it up, Wiki will do for that matter!
I see nothing that would invalidate that position and as no doubt you will stubbornly disagree I just go back to assuming you're simply too stupid to comprehend the obvious.

Pretty anal of you, but at least you read something (though you missed the picture of the PS innards, apparently). You haven't been making any point "all along"; that's obvious from your one-liners above. But hey, whatever, see ya.
PS. What does "t" mean? That's what your link leads to. Check a wiki on html tags and it will all become clear to you.
no need to rub in your deficiencies futher.
Now, away! ... OH what the hell, one last time... Stupid
LOL
