Thanks, I guess the closest thing I've heard are Common Nighthawks and Poor-wills which used to be regarded as "goat suckers". It must be tough being a kid with so many things freeloading off of mommy-goats!
I thought everyone with a very sick, twisted mind was safely confined inside the beltway...

I must say the chupacabra is a new one on me, but it's easy to find in a Google search. It's supposed to suck the blood of goats and other animals--I think you might get another interpretation from tubeguy's sick mind. It's an animal unknown to science, sort of like Nessie, Bigfoot, the yeren, and the Abominable Snowman.
There's an entry in the Skeptics Dictionary:

Here's another in Wikipedia:

Here's the URL to the general Wikipoedia article on Cryptozoology.

AJinFla is such a great educator.

The Chapucabra exists, but it actually sucks the blood of human males. Don't believe me? I'll introduce you to the ex-Mrs Kerr :)
I can't help you with the others you mentioned. One was enough for me!
Pat-D-Cake stated; I must say the chupacabra is a new one on me, --- that's hardly surprising as much about the realities of audio are a new one on him too --- but it's easy to find in a Google search. It's supposed to suck the blood of goats and other animals-- I think you might get another interpretation from tubeguy's sick mind.
Being the uninformed idiot he is, Pat-D-Cake continually mistakenly speaks about my beliefs without knowing what the truth is! Even though I've told Pat-D-cake numerous times to ask me "if" you don't know what I think before assuming you know what I believe, Pat-D-Cake refuses to ask me! So here we find once again Pat-D-Cake puts his foot in his mouth by making another mistaken claim about me i.e. he (Pat-D-Cake) thinks you might get another interpretation from (my) tubeguy's sick mind!
Well everyone here can decide for themselves who has the "sick mind" Pat-D-Cake --- who claims AJinFla is such a great educator! Or me who has already expressed my opinion of what the chupacabra here at this link:
http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/prophead/messages/4/44512.html
In the link above I clearly stated the plain truth of the matter which is the word chupacabra comes from the spanish verb chupar: to suck, and the spanish noun cabra: goat! Thus a chupacabra is a goat sucker! I also mentioned how the chupacabra is associated with supposed sightings of an allegedly unknown animal in Puerto Rico. So if that's what Pat-D-Cake sees as being the interpretation of a "sick mind" I think it's very plain for everyone here to see the Pat-D-Cake along with his Tampa Weiner friend whom he claims is such a great educator are actually the two people here with sick minds.
Strange how Pat-D-Cake could so easily find info about the chupacabra on Google, but somehow, quite conveniently Pat-D-Cake pretends he doesn't know what my actual interpretation of the chupacabra is! Pat-D-Cake responded to Rick M's response to this post Chupacabra - thetubeguy1954 18:32:04 04/23/08 here on PHP! Look for yourself Pat-D-Cake's post is exactly two spots below my post which stated clearly what my real opinion was on the topic.
Pat-D-Cake has once again revealed he really needs to let his sick, morbid obsession with me go. Pat I'm sorry you either cannot hear the differences or cannot afford the differences in price to be able to own a real highend system but, that's not my fault. Nor does that allow you to continually make incorrect statements based on your incorrect assumptions, that call my beliefs into question. Everytime you do such idiotic and childish things I'll not allow your actions to go unchallenged. However for your own mental health's sake, let your obessions with me go Pat, let it go Pat, let it gooo....

A Rational Subjectivist
If there is such a thing as an "uninformed idiot", then there must be such a thing as an "informed idiot"?
I think informed idiots should wear uniforms to differentiate themselves from those pesky uninformed idiots. We could then describe them as informed uniformed idiots.
Back to the main reason for this post: Congratulations on your multiple promotion, as "uninformed idiot" is certainly several levels above the other names Tubular has called you!
Anyone who likes the PSB Stratus Mini speaker is okay with me -- they were my second choice for satellite speakers in my main system in the mid-1990's when I auditioned them at home for a few days. Their frequency response was a little flatter than the speakers I chose, although my speakers imaged better, although I chose my EPOS ES11's mainly because some golden ear had purchased them for about $800 and didn't like the weak bass, so he sold them to me for only $400. I didn't mention subwoofers to him because most golden ears hated them before listening to them!

I had gotten the Stratus Minis because we were in between speakers. We had done a lot of traveling when my wife's mother was ill and dying. I really wasn't looking in their price range but included the Stratus Minis in the audition list because they measured so well (most speakers in my audition list are there basically because they measure well) and in the store environments, they stood up quite well. They worked quite well as my main speakers for some time but I always had the intention of putting them down in the family room for HT, where they sound quite wonderful--very clear on dialogue and no listening fatigue.
There are better speakers and my current main speakers are smoother, especially on massed strings. Even my wife could tell the difference! It would be interesting to see the current iterations of the Paradigm Signature Series and the new PSB Synchrony Series, among others, but basically, I already have first class speakers and am not really seriously looking to replace them.
