...there is no way to scientifically *prove* to you or anyone else whether they sound different or not.

There is no way to prove they don't, since you can't prove a negative.

And you don't have a test that works to prove they do - except to test the skill of your participants and sometimes large loudness and frequency response differences.

So for now, we'll just have to prove it to ourselves.
