The mobo?!? Wow. That's not what I would have expected.

Well, good for you for hanging in and troubleshooting until you got it working!

BTW - when I build switch boxes I sometimes build them RCA in / RCA out so I can use them for other systems or applications. Just food for thought...

Anyways, congrats on your troubleshooting success! Now you can properly A/B the SPDIF and USB methods... and *do* get back to us with an aesthetic evaluation.

Thanks. What a royal pain in the arse though. I will let you know how they compare. I already know that the usb connection is very good/
