When there is a "big change" to the OS, you have to pay for the software. That's the Sonore and Small Green Computer business model.

Remember, the issues were with the opticalRendu stuff.

I wouldn't update 2.8 until things are sorted out.

after installing the 2.8 microSD card.

Took no time at all and it went well, no hick-ups.

Guessing the OpticalRendu and the one with the builtin power supply require a larger gob of stuff and more processing when updating such that it overheats?

Subject on Audiophile Style is now 'closed' so we'll see.

My MicroRendu is running fine.
