"I have also set-up with another XP computer before, so it is probably not the Esoteric's hardware issue either."
If the XP computer used a different driver it is possible that there is a driver issue with the Windows 7 64 bit driver. Check the product web site to see if you have the latest drivers and/or check forum web sites and/or Google to see if others have had similar problems.

Thanks.
I thought that was the case, too, and installed the latest Win7-64 drivers downloaded from Esoteric's site. On my numerous attempts, it had once evoked that "looking for driver" icon (while the Esoteric was in HS mode) and after a while, it said that the device was installed properly. When I went into Foobar, I momentarily saw it under output. However, when I selected it, it reported that the device had been removed. It was not to be found ever since.
Did you talk to the customer service of the manufacturer? Most likely an issue with their drivers, switching between various USB modes is nothing trivial and must be pretty complicated to do right, on all windows variants.
Sent them the same question as I posted here. Now waiting for their response.
Thanks.
