One of the baddest bass players ever, his grooves helped propel the music of
Miles Davis into a funk that still... surprises and pleases.
His lines on Jack Johnson playing off Billy Cobham are astonishing still.
Didn't post this on Jazz as he was a funk player and R&B singer, but that
aspect of his talents was wasted on me.
He was a BRILLIANT Electric Bass Player. And groovemeister.
Thanks for that!!!!!

Follow Ups:
This is very sad. Henderson was extremely talented as noted by his association with Miles. He also left a sizable mark in the 'Pop' RnB charts. I first remember him when he released "Wide Receiver" a quirky dance tune. But I think he got his most notable RnB attention with the release of the Norman Connors album where he sang the charting song "You Are My Starship". I don't believe Henderson ever really go his due. R.I.P.
He really was something!
