While they were taking up space here at the same time as you?
For various reasons (mostly too young):
Charles Mingus.
Duke Ellington and Orchestra.
Jimi Hendrix.
David Bowie.
Thelonious Monk.
Howlin' Wolf.
Janos Starker.
Fela Kuti.
Missed seeing Jimmy Reed: he died the day of the night we were going to see him.
"Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination"-Michael McClure
Follow Ups:
Jimmi Hendrix
Curtis Mayfield
Steely Dan
Howlin Wolf
Muddy Waters
I have missed many others but these are the ones that I wish I had seen when I hear their music. Other than that I have pretty much seen every one I wanted to.

I like your list-
Fela Kuti
Jaco Pastorius
Cecil Taylor
Sun Ra
Albert Ayler
Anton Bruckner
Antonin Dvorak
Probably a few more...
Happy Listening
Was invited to a show in B'ham, AL. Mid-week, single parent with school age kid, nah, I'll catch'em next time thru. Then...no next time.
I had tix to see Muddy Waters. He passed away before the concert date. Ticketmaster would not give me a refund w/o turning in the tix. I wanted to keep them as a momento, but was young and poor.
Gsquared
He only sang three or four songs.
His band kept playing, the crowd yelling for Muddy and Bob Margolin
said "Muddy's not coming back. Shut the fuck up! WE'RE playing!!!!"
So the crowd shut up and they played.
Muddy was only on stage for about 30 minutes, but it was a damn great 30 minutes!
Sorry you missed him.

On purpose I missed the shows. I like my stereo system.
In 1969 and again in 1971. Just my luck.
Led Zeppelin in Chicago ca. 1975? I was 12 and my folks wouldn't let me go even though my friend was going.
Talking Heads ca 1989
Stones ca 1981 thinking about road trip this summer
lots of others also. I'm 55 and going to concerts was the thing. We had rock and roll heroes.
to see those bands.
LZ in 1973.
Stones in '75 (with The Meters opening).
Have decent bootlegs of both those shows.
The Heads about six times from 1978 on.
Being in SF pretty much ALL the headliners came through, so right place/right time
was on my side!
I did miss Steppenwolf when I was 12 because my cousin and I had to leave at midnight
and as headliners they hadn't played yet!
