By the way, I met him a few times in casual settings and he is a very nice and unassuming guy. Don't want to give the impression that he's a nut case. He's just a perfectionist when it comes to his art.

  And he was very gracious. I'm sure I asked questions he's heard 1,000 times, but he kindly answered them and didn't make me feel a fool.
  
  And this is in contrast with Al DiMeola who treated me like shit when I showed him an autographed guitar that I won at a concert of his 30 years before. I truly loved his work with Return To Forever and his subsequent solo offerings, but I'll never forget how abrupt and demeaning he was to one of his true fans...
