I am considering diving into multi channel classical and opera, but I would like to hear from the Inmates first which of the available works are your favorites and which offer the better sonics. TYIA

You can see heaps of my reviews via the link below.
Past that, if you go to the Presto or MDT sites at
http://www.prestoclassical.co.uk/
and
http://www.mdt.co.uk/MDTSite/pages/home/default.asp
and search for SACD you will find they list the discs that "The Gramophone", "BBC Music" and others recommend. Using this as a guide you will not go far wromg.
Incidentally Presto charge more freight for single discs than MDT but are far better for multiple sets.
Good hunting. MC is well worth the time and investment.

Sadly (or is it happily?) an incurable audio-video nutter with an indecent number of toys. Classical music forever!!!!
post their reviews here:Also, check out the discussions on Hi-Rez Highway here at the Asylum.

His "Recordings in the Round" column is indeed excellent!
Kal - Thanks for the link as I had never read any of your columns. Your combined knowledge of music and audio is awe-inspiring.
