As we all know, AA inmates are free to post opinions, no matter how bizarre they may seem to some other inmates. AFAIK no legal action has ever been taken against an inmate for expressing an opinion. But you seem to be making claims of outright fraud and stating them as indisputable fact.
Lets see you make a serious effort to go public with this beyond Music Lane. Do you intend to send your "expose" to newspapers, tv news organizations, music ctitics, music magazines, the L.A. Phil, DG executives? Be sure to mention that you've already stated your claims of fraud on a public forum. Funny how this has apparently slipped by Columbia/Epic - Szell's old label. Has DG bought Columbia or vice versa? If not, no doubt Columbia will sue DG based on your sleuthing and offer you a job as V.P. of Fraud Detection.
Hmm, maybe you ought to establish the Todd Krieger Defense Fund first.
Follow Ups:
If there was the most-minute smidgen of doubt, I would not have stated anything about this. This is something one should only state is he's absolutely certain. And I am absolutely certain.
If anyone should handle this legally, it's the copyright owner of the Szell/Cleveland Beethoven 7th recording.
My only concern is the ever worsening cases of fraud spreading throughout the music industry. If it weren't such a grave concern, I wouldn't have even stated anything. And with all the saber-rattling the RIAA has been doing in recent time against the consumers, this type of practice will only exacerbate the problem.
Do you intend to send your "expose" to newspapers, tv news organizations, music critics, music magazines, the L.A. Phil, Sony (Columbia) and DG executives? You have expressed absolute confidence in your own judgment and conclusions regarding this issue. Why do you waste time/effort posting it where nothing will come of your "research"? If you are so damn sure, get it to people who could actually do something about the fraud you claim is being perpetrated.
I look forward to you posting the replies from Sony, DG, the L.A. Phil etc. Like Dudamel, you could end up on 60 Minutes.
Or.....you might have to admit your claims were nonsense. So far, despite you're professed certainty it seems you prefer to just keep rapping about this here, where you risk nothing but having a few inmates think you're off the wall.
"Do you intend to send your 'expose' to newspapers, tv news organizations, music critics, music magazines, the L.A. Phil, Sony (Columbia) and DG executives?"Not really. I contacted the Sony Music and the Cleveland Orchestra. (I contacted the LAPO a month earlier, voicing mere suspicion based on the video footage I've seen. I still have no opinion of Dudamel as an orchestral conductor.) Aside from this forum, I haven't really discussed it much. It's up to the copyright owner to pursue this. (For all I know, permission may have been granted.) I only discuss it because of the challenges more than anything else.
I think what will eventually happen is this will break out elsewhere. (What might change a lot of minds here is an independent party making the exact same claim.) I think it's too obvious not to do so. If it stays dormant, at least those here were made aware. People are free to believe one way or the other.
You assert that DG committed fraud by putting out a cd under Dudamel's name - at least part of which is actually an old Szell/Cleveland recording on an unaffiliated label (Sony/Columbia) which has been digitally manipulated - and now you wonder if DG had permission? Permission from the copyright owner to commit fraud?! Wow, that's ludicrous.
Can't wait for your detailed analysis of Dudamel's first recoding with L.A., proving without a doubt - to yourself - that its actually a digitally manipulated 1972 Ohio State Marching Band recording.

What may have actually taken place is up to one's imagination. The only thing I do know is that it did take place.
as you have tilted ever more shrilly against the evil "pitch correction," which you claimed to recognize on listening to any short snippet on youtube. As one after another alleged offender was revealed, only the great Alex Syntak was left standing for integrity and true musicality. Now, further research on youtube has revealed a deep conspiracy to pass off George Szell's music as the work of a charismatic moptop. Undoubtedly more bombshells will follow as youtube research has only started. I would definitely look into Paul Potts, I suspect he is actually someone quite a bit more rotund.
I wouldn't mind seeing Aleks Syntek trying Nessun Dorma..... He certainly has the vocal range..... [-;
Sorry, Mr Potts is bad enough not even to keep up with me (don't miss my Mar 29 Carnegie Hall recital!)
are you a tenor for real and also affiliated with VMPS?
I have an evil twin.Guess which one it is.
some day
It seems DG is now part of Universal (UMG), Columbia part of Sony BMG, so unless there's been a merger (I'm unaware of one) we should get to see these giants duke it out after Todd goes big time!
Everything matters, don't forget to tweak your placebos!
