I'll throw in a twist. Since you already have the ribbon tweeter and it's the same one in the 20, the top end will be the same. Though it is possible that the ribbon has grown weary with use and replacing it would be an improvement. I plan on replacing my 13 year old ribbons in my 3.7.
But the biggest improvement you can make that I would bet exceeds what you could achieve with a 20 regarding bass ... would be open baffle dipole subwoofers. I just finished two of them and they're crossed at 60Hz to my 3.7 and the accuracy ... the visceral immediacy ... of the bass is at times startling. It's a combination of how the dipole design interacts with the room, exciting fewer modal resonances ... and the servo technology in the Rythmik amp and GR Research speakers.
With cleaner more refined bass, overall clarity is improved also.

Did you build doubles or triples?

Triple. I figured as long as I was doing it I may as well. I did extensive testing along the way too so I know exactly what the shelf filter does and what the servo settings do. Doubles would be good, but I think triple gives you more output and more easily reaches down to 15Hz.
