I owned Polk LSi7s with nearly identical driver and cabinet size - albeit heavier.
I've been a dipole Maggie enthusiast since I first heard them in 1974. Bought my first pair a year later. Use MC1s in the HT today.
Follow Ups:
the Polk's suck in comparison to the Focals ,,,,, no wonder you do not like mini-monitors - LOL
5" drivers are for midrange.
they are clean down to 45 hz which is more than the LRS
you can poo - poo all you want wont make the LRS better than the Focal
No ,,,,, sold it a while back .... dont think that combo would be ideal as its was a very small Japanese integrated tube amp .... more suited to something like a Lowther full range driver in a voight tube
in your speaker (and amp) comparision?

the required component that has a distinct effect on overall sound quality!
The actives use small (25W/35W) Class D amps. What were you using?
