Your criteria would disqualify HP's review in TAS and possibly JV's as well, food for thought. I've expressed my opinion on this subject previously. The 3.7 is an excellent speaker but only incrementally improved over the 3.6s. Then again I am 55.

To be fair, there's far more to music than top frequency. Maggies and other planars have virtues that more than make up for limitations in frequency.
For example, as long as one has reasonably balanced hearing (ear-ear), great imaging when coupled with the instrumental textures - all of which planars do great, can provide a superb richness of experience.
Add the alure of voices and their content. Add a subwoofer if you need the deficient planar bottom...and hear things as they shake your bottom, LOL! With or without the sub, some planars can even make you dance with dynamic rhythm in some configurations.
At least I know that these above are being optimized in my system for when the top end calls it quits from my ears...which can't be far away.
Thankfully, the brain has a whole perceptual toolkit to help us enjoy what's available. It even can make up for some deficiencies.
