Hi, I want to replace the Cardas jumper cables connecting the crossovers to the speakers with copper pins, affectively "hanging" the crossovers to the speakers instead of resting it on the floor as with the Cardas jumper cables. Are there any companies that make copper pins for this purpose?

I see 2 problems:
a) the copper pins will shirley need to be quite thick, to support the weight of the XO box? This means the HF signal will be travelling through very thick wire - which is a bad thing, IMO.
And the copper surface will corrode, over time.
b) the XO box will be subject to the vibrations which the driver generates in the frame ... in contrast to when it's on the floor, resting on some isolation material. Again, that is a bad thing AFAIAC.
Regards,
Andy
Magnepan supplies steel pins for mounting the XOs on the panel so I thought replacing them with copper would be an upgrade, however I do see the logic behind your points. I just don't care for the cluttered look of the XOs on the floor!
Well then you need to turn the XO boxes into works of art ... and get Mr Gunn to do them for you. :-))
Regards,
Andy
I'm just waiting for the mod where someone want's those little gems in front of the speakers so they can be shown off :^)
