I toy periodically with the idea of a planar IB subwoofer. Crazy, I know, but if I mounted a panel in a door . . . in the absence of dipole cancellation, it wouldn't need all that much area, the main problem would be finding a panel that had low enough resonance. Maybe two of them, in an isobaric configuration.
