They were not suggested by Jim Treanor - I've seen them on the used marked.

The LFT-8's certainly look interesting, also because they incorporate a woofer. It would require some planning on my part though to get them imported etc. - but I won't reject the idea of me doing that :-)

One of the delicate balancing acts in this hobby is finding a product that offers both the performance you seek and convenient access to dealer and/or manufacturer support if something goes wrong. So for what it's worth--and I see that bryan and Willis think it's zero, but I'll let you judge for yourself--you may want to give serious consideration to planars for which there's a viable support network in Europe.
