President Trump has made it clear that he doesn't want to get militarily involved in Iran. Didn't you see his news clip from just the other day?
He also brokered the deal to get us out of Afghanistan, which Biden screwed up.
Some people here are so hateful of President Trump that they can't think clearly.

I hope that you're right, but I fear that you're wrong. We'll see. The clip I saw was where Trump was telling some reporter that he hadn't decided yet, and maybe won't decide until the last second.
One of the principles of international relations is to keep your adversary guessing and off-balance. Heck, it's even a principle in union/management negotiations.
Anything which the President says on-camera is available to anyone. It was pretty ballsy to publicly tell Israel not to kill the "Supreme Leader" "yet". That had to leave an impression!
