Iran's leaders can readily see that, ever since Kim developed nukes in North Korea, the West (including South Korea) has been much less aggressive toward that country than they've been toward Iran. (I'm talking about actions, not rhetoric.)
Some analysts even think that, if Iran had nukes, it would actually stabilize the Middle East. At the very least, it might put a brake on Israel's barbaric attacks against its neighbors. Indeed, if Iran is able to prosecute the current war successfully (a big "if"), one of the conditions for peace might be to force Israel to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (like the vast majority of other countries in the world) and come clean about the actual nukes they have.

Islamists do tend to give one that special feeling. A hagglesome feeling, telling us that they can never be trusted to live peacefully amongst the other hucksters tabled in the bazaar...

Jews don't do quite that far, they need wives and concubines that can have orgasms...It's still an old-fashioned "guy thing" amongst the Jews, I guess ?
Jewish tradition does require infant or pre-pubescent male circumcision, but that kind of cutting usually takes place before the new hormones kick in after puberty (much less painful that way !). The only times male circumcisions take place post-puberty is when adult males convert to the religion or when they really want to punish an enemy.

. . . "in Deuteronomy 7:1-16 and Deuteronomy 25:16-18, they [the Israelites] are commanded to utterly destroy all the inhabitants [i.e., the Amalekites] of the idolatrous cities in the promised land and their livestock; scripture purports that King Saul ultimately loses favor with Yahweh for failing to kill King Agag and the best livestock of the Amalekites in 1 Samuel 15[22] in defiance of these commandments."
If Wikipedia is wrong, well, I suppose it wouldn't be the first time.
But today, more Muslims than Jews cling to the same "barbaric" beliefs and procedures practiced by their forefathers from a couple thousand years ago (or more). Muslims are even more "traditional" than Jews are in secular matters, whereas Jews have evolved a bit more and have become a bit more "civilized" in some ways...
But in war, they're both pretty mean. Even nowadays.
