Does that mean that the people who fly the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, AKA "Stars and Bars", are wrong as well?
Follow Ups:
At what kind of violent demonstration would that flag not be offensive? The Mexican flag is not offensive, per se. It is displayed at musical, theatrical and cultural events with animus toward no one. Family picnics in the Los Angeles area. Restaurants. On Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence Day, celebrations here of Mexican American culture. No offense intended and none should be taken.
In open violent obstruction of federal officers attempting to enforce US immigration laws, it is offensive.
As an aside, and I just had this discussion with a friend in the neighborhood who was a judge and mayor, I haven't heard any Republican, conservative, or Trump supporting friends say they were happy about ICE raids in neighborhoods or workplaces. I am not defending the deployment of ICE officers to detain or arrest people who are not engaged in criminal activity aside from being here illegally.
you mentioned above if they were good with millions upon millions coming into the country in the last 4 years.
The flag waving you bring up is not the issue. The current approach to finding and taking "illegals" in a densely populated Hispanic area is.

So should the US government simply ask nicely for people here illegally to leave? The flag waving is trying to rub others' noses in it. I mean, if Mexico is so great to wave it's flag in a new country which provides free food, housing, Healthcare, schooling, why do it? Oh yeah, for political power.
How about involve the local authorities first? Upset about the flag. Take a chill pill.

How 'bout they were first asked if help was needed. Both Bass and Gov. hair gel said not needed. Versus having a Portland in 2020 redo, the President acted. Rioting, burning and looting immediately stopped
I was referring to before the illegals arrests. I have been frustrated with the lack of new immigration reforms by congress for decades. Both sides are responsible. Each party has had a majority in both houses and still no major reforms.

Too true. In my opinion, the problem is that neither side trusts the other. The last major reform was from President Reagan in 1986, which legalized many undocumented immigrants who had arrived in the U.S. before January 1, 1982.
Afterward, the border was supposed to fixed which didn't happen. Illegals got amnesty while illegal immigration continued.
One side appears to want open borders and the other side wants to control the borders.

IMO, there are no changes necessary. Just follow existing laws. Anybody calling for reform really only means to make it easier to import more drain on the US. It comes down to do you want open borders?
I think the sanctuary part needs more limitations

I am not talking about the ICE operations. I don't know many people who were happy about the whole thing
First, larger newspapers often assign subjects to write about. Editors read and control what is approved for publication.
Second, I thought the Washington Post was politically one sided?
