Our county was just re-assessed and the result caused huge outcry, as the average increase in the assessed value was 500%. I kid you not, five times.

Now, that does not translate directly into your tax bill, but no one - and I mean NO ONE - is telling us what the new formula is going to be.

Nobody. All they are saying is that the next tax period is going to be revenue neutral... which, of course, does NOT mean YOUR taxes will not increase.

But after that... like I said - NO ONE is telling us anything.

  A popular local talk radio host has been beating his head against the wall of silence for months with absolutely no results.
  
  I suspect the result is going to be - the issue will lose its significance over next 12 months and when the 2x increase happens people will breathe a sigh of relief - as it could have been 5x.
