    I know your reaction is driven by good intentions... but it is ignorant in the extreme.
    Did you see the russians at the table? Did you even ask yourself that question?
    That is why Zelensky was so smart to agree to that proposal - he gains quite a lot in the meantime.

        I've been telling you since the war started that it was going to end in a peace deal. Ukraine is going to have to give up territory. They don't have the military force to take it back from Russia.
        Even though the aid spigot got turned on again today, Zelenskyy can't count on the US anymore. The day was going to come eventually because every nation we've ever used as a pawn, we get tired of it and move on.

        Supposedly the White House is currently speaking with Putin--bet that's really something--and if Putin agrees (and we might even have an answer before the day is out), then there is a cease fire.
        What there is to hold is the White House's agreement to a cease fire. You only have to look at what's going on with tariffs to see how the brave new world operates.
