I'm on vacation in London and quickly replied while at lunch. When you look at the data supplied by the US Energy Information Administration, one finds your post provides a great example of how to lie with statistics. Let's look at the big picture with respect to sources of energy.

China? Coal is 70% and on the increase while nuclear is a mere 3%. Too f...ing funny!

US? Coal is but 10% and on the decline while nuclear is 8%

China's greenhouse gas contribution (27%) is greater than the US (11%) the EU (6.4%) and India (6.6%) combined. Some talk about per capita generation, but the atmosphere couldn't care less.
