We took a ferry from Galway to the Aran islands, and the crew passed out barf bags-the one with the PA mic quipped "now, don't bring those back unless they are full!" At least one lady obliged, and I was pretty green myself by the time we got there. I was thankful the waters were calmer on the way back to Galway.
Follow Ups:
one of my favorite places in the world. Always stayed in the BB overlooking the ocean.
We were over on the other side where the ferrys went to the Aran Islands from Doolin just last week.
As to barf bags, back when the old Steamer was the only boat for Catalina Island, it was nearly a 3 hour trip full of sea sick vacationers. After the first hour, going into any bathroom or near one would make you vomit.
We used to take the seaplanes to avoid the Steamer and get there in a half hour.
