I don't have one but a couple friends and relatives do. They like them. Unlike conventional resistance electric ranges, induction does have instant on/off with the heat, like gas. But induction has no indoor air implications (unless you burn something to death, I suppose). And depending on where your electric comes from, induction isn't as much a greenhouse gas fuel. My electric is mostly from renewals, but the wife and kid prefer the commercial style gas range we have from American Range.

  my in-laws were thinking they'd have to swap all their cookware but much of it works with induction. The ferrous stuff, obviously.
