Where's the source data on this wind turbine oil pollution tripe?

Birds of prey too.
It's been a known problem for decades, as I said.

I supply lubrication systems for wind turbines.
The whole idea is that they get serviced as infrequently as possible. Time is money and they are almost always in difficult to get to locations.
Gearbox oil changes are out to 10 years now for new machines.
80 - 100 litres every 10 years seriously bugger all. Older smaller generators were 5 years or more.
A drop in the veritable ocean of man's use of oils.
If you really want to google environmental problems with power generation I should say you start with coal mining and fracking.
River and artesian water pollution, waste and decay, fish kills, bird kills, erosion, and of course the thousands of humans who get sick or die every year as a direct result of the burning of coal and gas for power generation - due to employment in mining or in towns and cities with nearby coal or gas fired power stations.
Not to even mention the thousands of litres of oil in every power station steam turbine. The lubrication and control systems that gets regularly contaminated with bypassing steam and other crap, requiring constant topping up, monitoring, changing etc etc.

Pick any means of electric generation, and there are negatives. Burning fossil fuels are at the forefront of the environmentalist agenda, but the only real "solution" (and I use that term very loosely) is a reduction in consumption--of everything.I have a solar array and battery storage system on my training center building, but I'm not delusional enough to believe that it is "saving the planet". I know what was involved in the manufacture of those solar panels and the wall of batteries--and it's not all that "green".
I have both an EV and (now/recently) a hybrid vehicle--but they're not "saving the planet" either. Hell, the hybrid only gets about the same fuel mileage as my diesel truck.
I've read the environmental impact reports regarding the massive solar farms in NV and CA. I've seen the images/videos of the "mass burials" of discarded wind turbine blades in landfills--which apparently are not recyclable--yet.
You want hydro-electric?--that generally involves damming or "re-routing" a natural water source--disturbing the eco-system.
Nuclear energy has had one minor and two major "accidents" in the past 65 years of operation, but the "fear mongers" have basically eliminated that option here in the US--despite the fact that virtually every hurricane generally causes damage (environmental damage) to off-shore oil platforms, refineries and/or petrochemical plants.
It doesn't help that for every coal-fired generation plant that "we" shut-down, someone else (like China and India) are building a new one (or dozen).

Yes there are free lunches, well, getting closer and closer to free. Most arguments against wind turbines are complete bullshit, made up to suit anti greenie narratives by people embedded into the fossil fuel industry.
The attached article does a good job of straightening out a lot of the BS.

...just pointing out that EVERYTHING comes at a cost. You (personally) earn your income from the wind turbine industry--and I'm sure they appreciate your loyalty, and that you have no problem spending their (subsidized) money.
Yep--I get virtually "free" electricity from my (heavily subsidized) solar array, but it took a whole lot of fossil fuels to obtain the raw materials, manufacture the panels and batteries, deliver and install them on my building.

In the UK between 10 000 and 100 000 birds are killed by wind turbines.
Sounds a lot until you realize that around 55 million birds are killed each year by domestic cats.
"Most arguments against wind turbines are complete bullshit, made up to suit anti greenie narratives by people embedded into the fossil fuel industry."
First of all, cite a few of those "arguments against wind turbines". And, show that they are "anti greenie narratives by people embedded into the fossil fuel industry".
Without citations and quotes, your post is nothing more than made-up bullshit.

...just over 27% of the total energy produced in Germany came from Wind, a total of 131 TeraWatt hours.
I don't think it the other guy's responsibility to educate you up to the level of informed and reasonable debate.
If you suspect a deliberate lie, finding out the truth and posting it would be a much stronger position than simply calling names against a position you disagree with. plus you wouldn't be stinking up the place with a bunch of unfriendly name calling taking the place of informed discussion.
"I don't think it the other guy's responsibility to educate you up to the level of informed and reasonable debate."
When a person makes a statement and asserts something, it is their responsibility to back it up, prove their assertion, or cite sources. Otherwise, it's simply personal opinion. Who doesn't understand that?

The only "name-calling" in there is when the poster wrote "anti greenie".
Back on topic: Cite sources/quotes. Otherwise, it's just personal opinion/bullshit.

Sez the most consistent hypocrite on Inmate Central after posing his opinion without a source.
Unless you consider the source (51) and realize the fruitlessness of the source.
Thusly the source is meaningless.
Thusly wrong again.
Still.

"Sez" is not a word. "Said" is a word, and it only takes one more keystroke to type it. Now you know.
Apparently, you still have that bee in your bonnet. Endeavor to get over it.
Still hoping, probably fruitlessly, for citation of sources. (As you are, too, I'm sure.)

Does that put you as the link species between Australopithecus and Neanderthal ???Asking for a friend.
BTW, you still haven't answered the questions you were accusing others of.
You also totally ignored the point being made. The left is absolutely fine with pureeing all species of birds including endangered and protected species in the effort to push green energy scams. Shhhh, mums the word.

They explain that all the dams **of consequence** have already been built.
A new dam here and there helps a little but from a diminishing returns POV, the ship has sailed.
Typical avoidance tactics. Look squirrel !!!Again, how do you explain the lefts hypocrisy with killing endangered species (e.g. Eagles and Condors) of birds to foist green energy scams ???
I understand you have a tendancy to avoid pertinent questions when outed.
Wind Energy Company Pleads Guilty to Killing EaglesESI Energy Inc. must pay more than $8 million in fines and restitution after violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act
The wind energy company ESI Energy Inc. (ESI) must pay more than $8 million in fines and restitution and serve a five-year probation after pleading guilty to violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, according to a statement released by the United States Department of Justice.
In the U.S., ESI is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc., one of the largest providers of renewable energy, per Reuters' Barbara Goldberg.

Now, about 316,708 bald eagles live across lower 48 states. Golden eagles only number to approximately 40,000.
"Embrace the mundane"- Dan John
Bald Eagle breeding pairs increase from 417 pairs to 74,100 between 1963 to 2021.
A cleaner environment seems to be a good thing.
Yes?

Bald eagles are still protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.

OK, let's at the facts.
1.17 million birds a year are killed by wind turbines.
6-6.8 are killed by communication towers.
60-60 million by autos.
67-90 million by pesticides
365-to? killed by cats.
Now add in birds killed flying into budlings windows that is millions & millions & millions
Those that prefer to live in the past always omit the fact that designs are always improving, and with fines for violations of the animal protection laws, change will no doubt be necessitated.
I am hardly an expert in wind power, but have seen historical automobiles and can draw an inference between that development and most other machines.
One memorable event was talking with a guy who had an old Oldsmobile, a beautiful old buggy that steered with a tiler, and had a "total loss" oiling system, where the lubricating oil was not recirculated, just thrown away. The car left about five little streams of oil in the dirt as it drove away, the oiling controlled by a small brass manifold with multiple sight gauges and valves on the dash. Obviously times have changed, along with industrial designs.
SOS (carbon footprint), just hidden under another name or another country out of general sight.Just cover up your dirty little green energy scam secrets.

Same playbook... If wind and Solar were not viable, the world would not be doing it. Despite Ronnie taking down Solar Panels on the White House.

It's not just the same playbook, it is the same 'think' tank.
The Heartland Institute originally financed by Philip Morris to argue against the fact that smoking causes cancer is now funded by fossil fuel companies to attempt the same thing with regards to climate change and it's human cause.
As always: Follow the money and all climate change denying sources are funded by fossil fuel.
Big Oil knows what is going on. They themselves discovered the problem - their engineers found the problem and went to the executives and they began to look into solving the issue - then when they realized they were causing the problem and the dollars it would cost to fix it - they elected to hire the tobacco sleazebags to create as much doubt as they possibly could (like big tobacco) to convince people it was a lefty conspiracy - lol. Even though Republicans were the ones being responsible Bush Sr and Arnold S in California. Both Republican leaders.
Politics unfortunately screws us. She debunks most of the conspiracy nonsense.
