No it's not IMO as unreasonable as the OJ Simpson case. This case is just another example of the low bar our laws establish when it comes to killing people. The folks involved here were all criminals and scofflaws and it's just a mockery of self defense statutes that exist all around America.
All that matters is how reasonable the threat is in the killers mind - it has nothing to do with reality. If Rittenhouse had been killed by the kick or the skateboard or by the guy with the missing bicep there would likely be no charges there either. Killer needs to shut up and let a good lawyer talk for him when the get into these situation.
It's just stupid and promotes lawlessness and a shoot first mentality.
IMO there should have been two manslaughter convictions and one aggravated assault. But the laws have been changed and don't afford it any more.

Absolutely!
Human beings with a beating heart have their lives terminated on a daily basis - and yet some are adamant to protect that *right*.
strewth! remember, guns don't kill people, you need bullets too!
although rifles with bayonet will work
or cars, those make great weapons
no one was ever charged for being armed with kindness though
or killing 'softly' with 'his' song
or ... wait, you were making an anti medical procedure post weren't you
huh ... thought you'd have moved past such notions considering the medical science and court precedents involved
oh well
thought you'd have moved past such notions considering the medical science and court precedents involved
Moved pass the recognition of the sanctity of a human life? No, I haven't.
Medical science has provided very straight forward criteria .
Or, from another medical perspective .
Hint: those are hyperlinks so you *should* be able to figure out their source this time. ;)
I've haven't missed one yet Jörg
