Well the conditions have been right for almost a week here with lots of rain and highs around 80 or less and lows in the upper 50's. I took these pics on my property, most within a couple hundred feet of the house. As you can see we're heavily forested and damp as noted by the moss. We get little sun too which also keeps it cool here even on warm days.

From what I know maybe 1 is edible and 1 is hallucinogenic my G pa would harvest mushrooms way back in the day.
Lots of 'shrooms here in the forest but how risky is eatin' them?

If you don't, you are in for a world of troubles.
Some of the edible wild mushrooms are very tasty. I've had Morels, and I'm quite fond of Citronellas. i don't go out myself, since I am not knowledgable enough to do it safely. There have been attempts to grow Morels with only mediocre success. Pity.

the question is, will you survive?
I'm no where near trained enough to try to find edibles with one exception. In April we get Morels and they're a unique shape and quite easy to identify.

There IS a "false morel" which can be a danger to a few, but those who have seen/eaten true morels aren't likely to mistake them.
Boletes? They're spongy under the cap instead of having gills. I could be wrong, but I have not found evidence of ANY varieties with this characteristic that are toxic. I have CERTAINLY found evidence from personal consumption that they can be downright tasty!
Identifying edible mushrooms is not a task to be attempted without serious study. Most fungi produce a variety of toxins (mycotoxins) some of which are very potent and are particularly damaging to the liver! I have seen cases where one meal resulted in a liver transplant! Others may just make you barf your guts out. Search Google, there's lots of info:-)
