hi, I have a problem that maybe someone can help me with. My headphones (new Audeze) just developed a loud tone/hum in the right side. The amp is my home theater HK 7550HD. when plugged in, the speakers are bypassed, the headphones play, but have a terrible noise!
The system seems to function normally otherwise, speakers have no tone/hum. everything seems ok.
The headphones work fine on my other system.
why do I have this hum/tone??
thanks!
Follow Ups:
The Audeze would greatly benefit from a good dedicated headphone amp.
Probably a low quality headphone jack on the HK. I've had this happen to me. I can't remember what the unit was, but one day the headphones would only play mono and hummed unless you held constant pressure on the plug pushing in. Replaced socket and problem fixed. It was a sealed unit so I couldn't see what was going on internally. Guessing the spring contacts just deformed.
