Headphones over stocking hats?

I've been seeing people wearing nice headphones (Sennheisers last) over their stocking hats. The last guy must have paid at least $200 for the headphones. What's up with that? I thought we were try to lift veils not put yarn between our ears and the music.

I live in the DC metro area - go figure.

That's funny.... I was walking behind a guy in Boston and was thinking the same thing. He was wearing a pair of B&W phones over a thick wool hat that was pulled over his ears....
