Tekton Lore or Mimi Lore are very efficient, sound great and don't need stands. The efficiency willl widen your amp choices.

  The Klipsch RP series are well reviewed I use one as my center speaker. Easy to drive, too. Good value for money.

    Couldn't agree more. I've got both the 600M's and Heresy 3's. When I look for speakers, I shoot for a tube friendly impedance as a priority. Of course if they're tube friendly 8 ohm designs, solid state amps will be welcome as well.
