I have just been introduced to Apple Connect in my daughter's new car as well as my own. I know you probably don't have it but on your next purchase I would definitely recommend. With AC you can stream Pandora, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, and use Google maps. Pretty slick set up. Mean while I think. You are stuck.

I think you mean Apple CarPlay. Its competitor is Android Auto. Many newer cars have both.
I use Apple CarPlay whenever I'm driving as its very nice having many iPhone apps accessible on the larger nav screen display in the car. I listen to Tidal in "offline mode" while in the car via iPhone and Apple CarPlay.
