And if you read the negative responses, - some from the biggest unreasonable whiners, - my post isn't really flying....

Where people had paid to see inside,
For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"

A 113 responses, so far. Who cares, right?
I don't want this site to become an elitist playground. and for what?
its not about how much the gear cost, but the value it offers for the money spent. Unfortunately most of the time the higher up in price you go the less value for the money you get in return.
On another note, I learned more from this site than Audiokarma (the people on AA site, are more tolerant, and often more humorous and laid back)and even AVS or another audio forum that is now defunct or even Hifi wigwam which i am new to.
I am no audio engineer or expert, or tweaker. I know what to kook for in gear and have been more picky about what I pick up, but i am not so narrow minded as to discount a peice of gear simply beacuse of the name on the plate or it's vintage, within reason of course. Or even a non-metal faceplate..
I listen to music that strives on accuracy, and dynamics. Contrary to beleif rok and electronica requires just as much accuracy, as the typical high end jazz or classical recording. especially since the artists I listen to engineer thier productions with multiple layers that get lost in low quality speakers and weak amplifiers.
