Imagine how boring the internet would be if folks were as civil here as they are in person.

He had an opinion in a comment to a blog entry. If you're interested in clarification of what he meant or how he feels about the topic in general you should talk to him. I don't know the guy and I don't know what the connotation of the word ghetto is to him. If he's not a big consumer of mainstream media he may be going by the actual definition.
