If you have these components on all the time, have you shut them down for a minute or two, then powered them back on? And did you hear any improvements in the sound of your rig?
Correct Ozzie???
Follow Ups:
I leave on all small stuff including Bryston BP-26 preamp, but i do turn off the amp, and the VAC Standard tube pre I use as a tube buffer for my DAC.
So especially all the digital stays on all the time. (but not video digital stuff, as I only use that once every few weeks, and warm up does not matter much on that stuff).
I have tried turning off all the digital when I use the turntables, but never noted any difference. so I just leave the digital on. (the digital is on a different power conditioner from all analog)
Is the CD player glitch sonic or operational? I have been advised to reset my player as per Bill Thalmann the player is basically a computer device. I now suspect he may be right about the need to do so.
When I turn it off and back on, then press play, I hear a mild whirring sound, and the Cd starts normally. Then for say a week it will change discs normally, then starts getting stuck once in awhile again.
Seems the player is not pulling in the laser correctly sometimes to start the first track, but turn off/on fixes that for awhile.
If I just ignore the failure to start, it does eventually find the start, but it can take five minutes!
