There are far better solutions and they are getting cheaper every day.... You may as well focus your energy on IMB Selectric Typewriters (I think they have a better collector value).
Follow Ups:
Yet I play vinyl, it to me still sounds better than any digital audio playback format.....
Although I again stress with a caveat, as long as the vinyl rig is set up correctly.... Which is no easy task.
And next to vinyl (not including open-reel tape), I prefer the sound of "obsolete" physical Redbook CDs, over any newer playback format.......
I'd love to utilize the latest in audio playback technologies..... But to me, I haven't found much correlation between sonic presentation and the "newness" of the technology. I just don't get comparable musical satisfaction with the newer technologies.....
Some might prefer using the latest technologies.... But for me, sonic presentation/sound quality/musical satisfaction is still King.
Vive la difference!!

I used to do Vinyl. I don't necessarily call it 'obsolete', as the people that I know that still spin Vinyl, confess that they like the 'ritual' of Spinning a Vinyl disk. They admit to me that listening to Qobuz is equal in sound.... But when you have a $12 Grand Turntable, and $5 Grand record cleaning machine, you gotta use it!
I compare this to a Wood burning Fireplace. Although heating a home with a Wood Burning Fireplace is not the best way. I certainly understand the 'ritual' of lighting a fire and sitting in front of it's warmth. I would not try to convince people to get rid of their fireplace or turntable for that matter...
Myself, I am all done with Vinyl, as well as wood burning fireplaces. I will admit to loving my Remote controlled, instant on Gas Fireplaces. I have two of them !!

" ADJECTIVE
1. no longer produced or used; out of date: "
There are plenty here who you could say are out of date, or at least using music to full effect with whatever they happen to use. Prices for SOME of the newest tech has gotten quite expensive nowadays for SOTA. Anyone remember when a SOTA cartridge was a mere $500? Or a top rated one was $250? What are they now, $10,000? I have a feeling that seldom posting lurkers hang here to see what's up and about and see what's new and considered good, me included.
And an awful lot of older stuff like Quad ESL57's sound better than a Selectric ;-)
You mentioned speakers as being old... Sure, Mine are too... I use Klipshorn Bass Bins (Circa 1949) and Tubes... I'm listening to 45 RCA Globe Tubes right now as I type this (Circa 1933)... Yes they are Old, but not Obsolete... You have to understand the difference.CDs are much newer than my Aforementioned Speakers and Tubes, but yes they are obsolete. As are Cassette and 8 Track Tapes. There are Better Solutions that provide the same or better performance.

I grew up with 60's stuff I've kept ever since, most of it was lost due to unfortunate circumstance.
When I bought this house the leftover phone in the garage still works but I can only pick it up when it rings, can't dial out. I have a 1972 VW in there to keep it company
Having recently retired from the print and creative design industry I still enjoy the booklets and packaging artwork of many of the artists I listen to.
But alas I realize that will end at some point!
I think the Healthcare system still requires prescriptions and such to be "faxed". Though clunky machines that once had to connect, scan and transmit have been updated. No more picking up the line only to find out someone is faxing your phone LOL!

but when you file taxes they're emailed, go figure.
I'm gonna make the accountant fax them next time
In the movie Bullit they stood around for 2 minutes for a FAX off the actual old Bakelite phone handle
But we take the obsolete, polish it up and make it beautiful.
No shame in that. After all "progress" has been known to take a wrong turn or two over the centuries ....
