They're both dedicated to spinning digital media discs unlike Computer Audio.
Follow Ups:
I don't think Digital forum means spinning media discs, otherwise it would be CD Player forum. Digital (as far as I understand it) includes all digital products including DACs CD players, streamers, servers and all other bespoke digital products from hi-fi manufacturers, apart from "digital" amps that should be dealt with in the Amp / Preamp forum.
Computer / PC forum should be for those who don't want to go for bespoke products but the DIY route of concocting their own systems based on simple computers.
Be interesting to see what others think
"I don't think Digital forum means spinning media discs, otherwise it would be CD Player forum."But it has traditionally and historically been dedicated to CD players (and outboard DACs for CD players and transports). I wouldn't shed a tear if they changed the forum name to CD Players.

Well, by your logic there should be just one Digital forum category in which to throw everything that is based on 1's and 0's technology. That would make sense for anyone who can't comprehend obvious distinctions and nuances.
Hell, why don't we have just one big forum titled Audiophile and in it we can collapse every other forum. Some folks might not make the distinction between spinning vinyl, spinning silver discs, and spinning hard drives. They all spin after all.

No - see my reply to E-Stat above. My logic is to separate those who want to buy hifi equipment to do a job from those who want to cobble together a DIY alternative using a Computer - those who have the knowledge and inclination to take this approach. There's a hint in the forum title!
"from those who want to cobble together a DIY alternative using a Computer"There just are not that many hooking up a computer anymore to warrant a separate forum. It just doesn't make any sense given the inexpensive 'music streamer' solutions there are today.
