I've heard from knowledgeable friends who weren't always fans of dCS that the Puccini sounds fabulous.
As it should for $20k...

The new dCS Puccini I have only heard at the showroom, but playing through the VAC Phi 300i and Magico V3s-- the system I have at home-- it sounded so good I am not sure I would be able to distinguish it from my full dCS Scarlatti stack. Not crazy about the face plate-- looks like chrome trim fallen off a l950 Buick, but otherwise superb-- and FAST with the TEAC, not Phillips, mechanism .
Nice to hear from you! Hope all is well.
I owned a dCS Elgar and Purcell when they first came out and thought the resolution was fantastic. As I've gotten older, I crave simplicity so a 1 box design is more to my liking.
Thanks for your reply on the new dCS. Looks nice...
