They offer reasonably priced short cables from Straightwire and another cable startup in CA.
I have used both in a secondary system and one of my headphone "stacks". Good solid cables, good connectors, typical copper sound. YMMV.
Cerebrate!
Follow Ups:
I've been buying all my cables from China nowadays, although I still have a bunch of domestic expensive cables bought long ago. Cable companies can't be doing so well anymore, but I'm sure there are still multi-millionaires who all of a sudden are interested in audio.
I haven't made the switch to balanced yet. Should I? I don't care if my system is not the ultimate, ultimate system. Damn good has been sufficient for me so far.
Named them appropriately? Are you saying you don't care for them.
My DAC is balanced, my amp is balanced, I decided to order a new Marchand crossover and go all balanced.
Common mode rejection makes balanced cabling so much *less dependent upon cables.* That's what I like.
Audible differences may be totally ethereal and subjective like almost everything in this hobby.
Why didn't I think of schiit? I just placed an order for a Yggy & Kara!
All their schiit is great and I'm sure the cables are too.
I missed their cables entirely as they hide them under an "Accessories" menu that you have to expand on the site.
Bonus: They look cool.

It gets even better: You can get their cables in 10" length. Haven't you been in situations when even 1/2 meter is too long? I have.
Oh, and such a cable costs *fifty dollars*!
$50, for a real balanced audiophile cable with quality connectors!
I love this schiit!
P.S. No affiliation with the firm.
