The greatest audio trade I ever made. A mint 8' pair of A23 speaker cables for an A23 SUT. (needless to say, the less expensive model designed around the Denon 103)
That was close to a decade ago and that A23 SUT is still in my system today. The A23 speaker cables would have been gone one way or another a decade ago. The sounded exactly as you describe and were easily dispatched by a pair of ClearDay Double Shotguns. (RIP Paul Laudati)
Follow Ups:
Hey M,
R.I.P. Paul Laudati indeed, he was always a very very pleasant person to chat with over the phone, he took time to know what an individual actually needed for their systems, and built his cables accordingly. He definitely is missed.
Old thread, but I too must join in celebrating the lovely Paul Laudati. I remember him everyday as I'm still using a pair of his Double Shotguns. Sorely missed, fondly remembered, and still playing his part in bringing musical enrichment to our lives.
