I ordered the cable and RCAs a month ago, and never even got a tracking number. I ordered them straight from the store website, so was getting a bit worried, then they just showed up today.
Haven't tried them yet, will have to wait a few days at least as I just upgraded tubes in one system, and speaker cables in the other. So will be kind of hard to tell what's doing what. But knowing me it won't be long.
If they sound as good as the build quality of the cable, they will be great. It's really a nice cable in every way, double shielded, two layers of teflon on the conductors, and another teflon wrap around the tampon filling and conductors.
Probably takes a bit of burn in being silver conductors.
The RCAs are also very good quality, look like Cardas knockoffs.
I don't know how the Chinese do it for the price, but I am loving it.

ABliss,
Might I ask if you're capable to building XLR based IC's as well?, as I'm looking to buy said bulk Xangsane sterling silver cable 3m ( as I'd like a 1.2-1.5M pair ) | a pair of Cardas Audio Clear CGA Female XLR-Male RCA adapters to use between the balanced input on my DAC ( male XLR ) inputs, yet into either integrated amps which are use single ended inputs only.
What's your take on said adapters as well?, I'm thinking that if the amp in question isn't using a fully balanced input array, if I should just stick with standard RCA IC's?.
TIA!.

ABliss,
Taking into account again that I already own 5 pairs of standard RCA based IC's | I've decided to go with a pure silver balanced pair of which I don't have..., I've ordered both of these items so that I'm able to use both in tandem into my single ended RCA integrated amp.
Thanks again for the offer to assemble the Xangsane RCA IC's on my behalf | but I'm going to get them ready made off of eBay | even if the USA seller is asking $300 for a 1M pair. I believe it's a worthwhile venture.

A Bliss | Jon L:Having further researched said Xangsane sterling silver IC's | USB cables | I've noticed assembled ones are available on eBay, at an up charge of $249 - $299 respectively | have to wonder at some point should I buy bulk wire, would you either of you be kind enough to assemble them for me?, for a surcharge no doubt | as once again my soldering skills equals zero ability to build them.
As with anything I'm not capable of doing on my own | all I can do is ask.
Edits: 03/01/23
I will do the interconnects for you, but not the usb. I have never done those.

I can respect that | as I meant to ask that beforehand, but didn't wish to over edit my original post.
Having just comeback from looking at their black and burgundy colored options, as far as cost wise for bulk..., I'll keep the lengths at either 1-1.5m x 2 | pursue accordingly | as well as sets of those wonderful looking clone Cardas Audio RCA Connectors as shown above.
Thanks A Bliss.
I'll keep you posted one way or the other.
Those RCAs are nice, they look the same as the ones I got. I have one set with no name, and one labeled Xangsane.

They certainly do | yet taking inventory of what's already in-house, I've 7 pairs of SCs | 6 PCs | 5 pairs of unbalanced IC's | down to a single pair of balanced IC's, as well as 3 usb cables | as reality kicks in ( as it should ) it seemingly makes more sense to invest in the Xangsane USB Cable and stop looking period.
As well as more power plugs connectors | banana plugs that I'd ever get around to using.., so let's see where this goes?.

After second try, I finally received the Xangsane cable. Aliexpress store and people have not mentioned it, but there is some sort of coating on the silver ribbons, which I did not realize until I tried to solder it. Feels like either enamel or wax paper?
I found this cable fairly difficult to work with due to multiple layers including the enamel and very stiff outer jacket, but first impressions are not triggering any alarms.
It's like a clear plastic, maybe Teflon, not sure, but it came off easily with my stripers.
Mine has burned in very nicely, very detailed and transparent.
I ordered some more to make a shorter pair, but this time through Aliexpress site, it came much quicker.
It's a bit of work to terminate, but worth it.
On which part of the RCA connector are you soldering on the braid shield? (presumably only on the source side)
Yeah, this wire has potential, but with the 3 wires inside plus two shield, I feel like I should try making some XLR cables. If only I could find some good-sounding XLR plugs at similar prices at these RCA plugs.

While I'm well aware these are cloned Xhadow XLR connectors | earlier on I did buy a set of their RCA connectors. Which are extremely well built:

With the same thing in mind (i.e. using this cable for XLRs), a while back I searched for "silver plated copper XLR" and found a few inexpensive sets that claimed to be silver over copper. Not being a very trusting soul, I didn't want to roll the dice. Instead I opted for some AECO Silver over Copper XLRs. Not cheap, but not as expensive as some. I didn't want to commit too much to this Sterling Silver wire.
I had some XLR cables made for me using this wire. It has potential. A good sign - I didn't run out of the listening room screaming.
I am not inclined to put it in the dreaded cable drawer or box. It needs more time; I think it may be a keeper. I was going to get the AECO Gold over Copper XLRs, but was advised to go with Silver/Copper. I'm glad I did; I don't think the Gold would have the speed or snap of Silver. The bass was pretty good as well. We shall see.
looks pretty good, but even at the sale price, it would be $112+tax/ship just for them. I think I'll look around my drawers to see if I can desolder some Neutrik XLR's off of old experiments :)

I had the same dilemma. It was a leap of faith to go that high for the connectors. Good luck.
Yes, at the source only.
Great! Let us know how it sounds. Mine are playing since around a month now and they sound marvelous, incredibly transparent and layered but without being thin, tipped up or sterile.
How did you terminate yours?
Just like you recommended in your earlier post. Red lead positive, white lead return, the black stranded cut flush at both ends, silver shield connected at source.
If the black was intended for the drain, they could have just left it out and save money.
Everything soldered with WBT. I really like those RCAs, they solder very easy and fit that cable nicely, a little tight to get on, but they have treads inside so they kind of screws on to the cable.
I just have about 10 hours on them, so far very detailed and transparent.
Silver shield connected at source ? What does this mean. Thank you.
There is a silver plated copper braid over the wires inside. You gather up the braid at one side and attach it to the ground, and that side goes into the source. It makes the cable directional. With a power cable you'd do the same thing but attach it to the ground post on the plug, not the neutral. It's a way to provide a grounded shield. What you don't want to do is attach it at both ends. That'll create a ground loop, which can cause hum.
So I ordered the very same cable from the same store (Hifi Inc Store). What I received was not the Xangsane SP90001AG but completely different power wire. I went through the Aliexpress site to reach the store to get either refund or correct item, but the store just refunded less than one third of the money I paid and simply closed the order and "Finished" it.
I don't want this power wire, but they simply just decided to pay the difference between my order and the wrong item and closed it.
It took awhile, but I went through the Aliexpress "Appeals" process and got my money back! (in the form of Aliexpress coupon).

I guess I got lucky. Communication with the store is very difficult.
I ordered on the 14 of January, and never got a confirmation or heard anything from them. All I had was my PayPal statement.
Last week when I got another different order I had placed through aliexpress, which I placed days after the first one, I decided to try to contact the store.
After almost a week of sending them messages with screen shots of the PayPal information, the package showed up yesterday. This morning they replied again and said, they checked and don't think I bought it from thier store.
I think they are more concerned with orders through Aliexpress, and that's the best way to do it, as you will get confirmation and tracking.

The thing is they celebrate almost 15 days on Chinese New Years | another 7 days with their Spring Festival where it'd be helpful if the sellers were mention this beforehand as many of them do on eBay. I for one am awaiting your impression on these cables before committing to a pair | the only thing that's holding me back is logically thinking trey mayn't better my current favorite pure silver IC's of which I've listened to for the last 3-4 years | which cost $500 made in England, where the other 7 pairs of IC's were placed into a box | never have made it into the system for more then say playing 2 tracks..., of which a pair of the Tara Labs Vector 2 you've mentioned resides as well.
Edits: 02/16/23
The Tara Labs Vector 2 are my favorite copper interconnects. I find it very clear and detailed, probably the very small solid core gauge it's made of.
This silver cable has a bigger presentation and a lot more air so far.
Still has a bit of tizzyness but that should burn of.
There are all good fun and a great way to tweak a system.

A Bliss,
Thanks for the follow upon both of these | I do look forward to hearing more on the pure silver ones once they've fully settled in.

A Bliss,As always a simply wonderful job on constructing these | I'm with you on how they do it..., as I was just telling a buddy, all of my name brand domestic cables like IC's that cost as much as $1.200 | SCs at $2.750 | PCs at both $600 and $800 are all gone, as they were replaced within one take by $60-$400 IC's | $400 SCs | dare I say $34-$60 PCs.
Weird thing is I was thinking of buying one of the ready assembled Xangsane pure silver ( sterling silver ) IC's, yet have to dig deep within and think twice, as I'm wondering in all honesty if I'd better my current favorite pure silver Yannis Tome Audio Cable Designs 222Connecf Litz from England, which cost a mere $375, and has remained in my system since 2018, ( which themselves replaced IC's at $945, ) whereas it seems everything else has remained in my goody box, not even coming close to making it into the system at all, it seems I've become a cable hoarder of sort, without even knowing it.
Edits: 02/14/23
I am with you with the cable hoarding. There is something about cables that attracts me more than any other component, I think it's the simplicity, cost, the fact that they make the most difference, and is just fun to make and try.
So the Chinese has just made it a lot more affordable. The only issue is the long wait to get your order.
![]()
I heard that | as of late I've had to seriously look at narrowing down my cable options, as the Chinese Odin PCs have been replaced with the Accuphase 40th Anniversary | incoming Monosaudio P902 cords | Xangsane Pure Silver USB Cable | Valhalla 15 Core PC, I do see this as coming to an end as well.
Once again as someone whom isn't very good at soldering, I envy your workmanship on said DIY projects | may one of these days offer you something to replace the RCA Connectors on several pairs of IC's, as I tend to buy connectors over and over as well, as you've mentioned the Chinese do know how to build some very very decent crafted items, I for one base my findings upon actual listening as opposed to bashing just for the sake of some American based retailers greed.
The power of the web has in fact been a wonderful means of newfound discoveries | I'm loving it.
