  Did you ever do that comparison between the Clear Light and Golden Reference?
  
  I prefer Golden Cross to Golden Reference but they are now both discontinued and I am wondering about Clear Light too.

    I had to put this asside for a few months, hope to get back to it soon. I plan to rent from Cable Company to test this all out. Would you mind sharing a few words on why you prefer Golden Cross to Golden Ref? Have not heard Golden Cross in a long time.

      Sure. Golden Cross has less detail but is more euphonic especially as far as the treble is concerned. I found it more musical overall. Golden Ref can still sound bright with less pristine recordings of brass instruments.
